Sending and setting up the printer software.

With everything set up in photoshop then it is time to send it to be printed.  This is done and shown below:

The first thing to setup is the printer, choose which printer you are going to use.  Then set the paper size to what you require.  Then there is a set of print settings which you can choose.  You can choose which paper you want, I use Archival Matte as I like this paper, but you must make sure that you have the right cartridge in for that as these printers also have a Photo Black cartridge.  You can't really go wrong as the printer will prompt you with a message to say that you may have the wrong cartridge in, than all you have to do is go through the menu's and change to the right cartridge.

You can use lots of different photo papers, if you use Epson paper then they will be on the printer menu's.  All you have to do is scroll though the menu and click on the one that you want.

I have the printer R2880 profiled so that what I see on the screen I get the same result on the print out.

Below are some of the papers that you get with Epson:

It is every bodies personnel taste as to which papers you like.  The Matte papers will absorb more ink than the gloss paper, but I think the Matte papers look a little more professional than the glossy type I do not like the sheen on the gloss paper.  With having the printers profiled you can only use the paper and the inks that are profiled.  With these printers I am finding that I cannot buy the cartridges from any where.  These are specialised printers and I have to send off for them.

We are now ready to send the shots to the printer.
